25.9 | OKTOBRETFEST
Oktoberfest is a traditional German folk festival that originates from the city of München and dates back to the beginning of the 1800’s. Nowadays more than 5 million people go to the city of München each year to celebrate at the biggest beer festival in the world. You might have heard of Lederhosen or Dirndl, traditional pieces of clothing that are worn especially for this event. Music is also a big part of the celebration with many bands and singers playing classical German music like schlager. The arrival of Covid-19 makes it impossible to host big events that attract a lot of people but we at BRET want to capture the essence of Oktoberfest. On Saturday the 26th of September we will host OKTOBRETFEST, our own small-scale version of Oktoberfest. We invited an accordion player to play some classic Oktoberfest tunes and dj’s Rudy und Renzel will keep the vibe going with their special Oktoberfest set. Even though you won’t be able to dance you’ll be swinging in your seat. We also arranged a bunch of different games for you to play with your friends like shoving pints, ‘sjoelen’ (typical dutch game) and various board games. We’re curious how well you’ll do after a few beers. Expect a full pint, cozy music and above all a good time. PROST!
Ps: if you come dressed in a Dirndl or Lederhosen you’ll get a free shot at the bar ;)
